Noticed the golf site that everyone loves to hate has been missing the last few days.

Maybe the economy caught up with the $2000 drivers.

Just think, when the economy recovers, you have a new market opportunity.

I believe the lone surviving member was band last Friday.

One of my regular playing partners just got back last week from a fitting in Henderson. He described the event as "mind blowing." He bought everything. He already has irons they built, but he reshafted them about a month ago with some TX-90s he had laying around. The next time I play with him on Tuesday, I'll try to snap pics of his stuff.

He's also the guy that bought a $2700 Scotty and play with it.

How did you respond to your playing partner? We know your reputation for being quiet, reserve and keeping your opinion to yourself. Must have been an interesting dialog.

I kept my opinion to myself. The guy is an equipment ho and he has money to burn. He's our club champion, BTW. We went out and shot a 66 the other day as partners in a driving wind, so the guy can play a little bit.

I hope my buddy got his clubs. When we played Tuesday he said they were "coming any day now."

That guy must be the best player out there that is so obsessive about equipment. That is rare. Usually very skilled players like your friend don't screw around that much. My buddy that you and Chubby met some years back is that goofy and he while not that good could go pretty low. Too odd birds if you ask me.

The funny thing is that he is not long. He's not a bombsquadguy. He hits his driver maybe 250-270. He hits his irons a full club shorter than I do. Disclaimer: The guy is mid 60s. He's in great shape, he the game of a 50 year old. But, he's definitely not their target customer. He's just a guy that loves equipment and loves tinkering with "tour" stuff.

I played with him when he shot 67 one day. He makes A LOT of birdies. He hits his wedges close to the pin and he can putt.

Now it's being said at golfwrx that they're moving the site to another server and having problems.

That's some freaky [censored] that Burley would probably watch on the intrawebs.

That is Just like JR... just a little older but I have never seen him go that low. JR is more of a par machine.. just average with wedges and changed putters too much to impress in that dept.

OK, I'm awake now. I didn't see one of those above was shottalk. I found the one you're talking about Jon, but I can't get past the fact that someone actually posted "with all that rigor ma roll" in one of the messages.

Seriously, rigor ma roll?

That may be the best screw-up of spelling ever on the interwebs.

It's not his fault, he probably doesn't get french benefits.
